Mexican antiques dealer Jesus Gris finds an elaborate mechanical scarab hidden in an ancient statuette that once belonged to a 16th century alchemist. Unbeknownst to him, it contains an ancient parasite that grants eternal life. Also on the trail of this device is an American millionaire who has spent his life researching the alchemist’s writings and this mythical device.
