Story
CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic rendition of weapons handling, house cleaning, location, squad-based action, etc…
Great acting from everyone
Best new show, after the disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and all around lackluster shows, this was a much better show in every way. It looks really good and the action/fight scenes look amazing.
I also haven’t seen any red flags so far like every male looking incompetent or anything
It seems like most of the criticism of this show in the comments section boils down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operative thing, and I, as a guy, don’t mind a good female-led action show that’s an original IP that doesn’t turn a male lead into a female lead. I also thought it was going to be a more action-oriented show at first, but then they went a little deeper into the family, and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t like what they did there.
It’s entertaining even without being a History Channel show, which some commentators seem to prefer
The criticism is that the plot of what this specific group of operators do is very limiting to the story and could kill it if you move past the plot/villain of the season…it needs to be more comprehensive so they can do something new Action-intensive fast-paced Homeland, otherwise it risks being too episodic like Blacklist PS: So far Nicole Kidman’s part is incredibly small and unspectacular and could have been done by anyone else…We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show…But from what I’ve seen so far, the show could stand on its own with Zaldana without any other A-Lister. TLDR Overall Cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
