The first episode to me felt 50-50
The premise seemed interesting enough that I overlooked all the plot holes and I was giving the show the benefit of the doubt. I’m assuming the lights in Vegas would stay on since Vegas is powered by the Hoover Dam. When the second episode came around, things took a massive turn for the worse. The first 30 minutes of this 50 minute ordeal was a whole lot of nothing.
Which is resolved by feral cats
It’s like watching a love story/soap opera, cliché after cliché… One might assume the last 20 minutes were redemptive, but no. The most exciting scene is a short rat infestation. Does this make sense to anyone? And even if it did, why is it a theme?

Surely there are better houses than his old family home, like houses by a river, a lake, an ocean – all important sources of food. Instead, he decides to stay in a random suburban cul-de-sac… We see him alone, but at the same time he does literally nothing to look around.
And as a result, nothing happens
