Variety 2023 reported in January that director Samuel Theis was removed from filming after a crew member accused him of rape. The alleged sexual assault occurred halfway through filming, after a party organized in the apartment with the actors and crew in 2023.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker insisted it was consensual, according to Liberation
A crew member spent the night at the apartment where the party was taking place because he was drunk and claimed that he was raped by Theis in the early hours of the morning. Theis remained on location for the rest of production, but directed the film remotely.
